Test

Pregnancy comes with testing and today I had to take my glucose test for gestational diabetes. The test takes an hour, you have to go in and they give you a sugary drink, you have 5 minutes to finish it and then you have to sit for an hour before they call you back. Once called back they draw blood and then send you on your way. It's not too bad but that drink is really sweet and always leaves me wanting a gallon of water afterwards. I should have my results at my next dr's appointment and I hope I passed because if I have to retake it, it ends up being a 3 hour test. But I've never had problems before so I should be ok.

Today has just been a busy day already, with my test this morning, then I went and got groceries. There was no way I wanted to wait until tomorrow because of Thanksgiving coming up. I can just imagine the crowds over the weekend. So I was happy to get in and do my shopping and get home. I got everything put away and then decided to grab a bite to eat.

Yesterday evening we put our Christmas tree up. I know a week early but I wanted to get it out of the way. Now for the next 30 some odd days I will have to hear Kaylee ask me when Santa is coming. This morning she woke up and asked if Santa came and I said no, and she fell apart in tears!!! It took begging to get her dressed and then teeth brushed and hair combed. I really hope that this isn't going to be something that happens everyday until Christmas.

Giving Thanks

I have so much to be thankful for...

My husband, he is my rock, my soulmate, my lover... I am so grateful that I found such a wonderful man to share the rest of my life with. He's a great father to our children, he always makes sure we are taken care of.

My children, they make me smile and my heart grow everyday. Each of them have their own special quirks about them. I couldn't imagine life without them.

My family, they are supportive and even though crazy most of the time I love them all.

My job, I am grateful for my job and a wonderful boss who is willing to work with me. She is understanding of my current needs that come with pregnancy.

Health, my children are healthy, as for me and my husband. The babies are healthy and growing everyday.

My pregnancy, I am happy my pregnancy has gone so well, everything is right on schedule, babies are growing good and right on target.

Never too late!

Never too late to post on my blog even though I haven't posted for almost 7 weeks. Time just gets away from me and I forget about my bloggy. I just need to make it a habit so I can remember to post daily. So since my last visit here I've been to the doctor again and at my sonogram they decided we are having a boy and a girl! Not that I'm not happy about that but the news did throw a wrench in. Only because I had picked out 2 boys names and hadn't even thought about girl names. So for the past 3 weeks its been back to the drawing board trying to pick a girl name and decide one of the boy names. Everyone keeps getting on to me because we haven't 100% decided on names. At the moment I have at least 11 weeks to decide, I think thats plenty of time to narrow it down.

We have been preparing for babies, Mike's sister in law gave us lots of stuff for the babies. I ended up with a baby bathtub, 2 matching carseats, a pack and play and lots and lots of clothes. My sister was able to give me a box full of baby blankets, burp rags and bibs. Last week target had a sale on bottles so I bought all of those. Going over my list of needs we arent needing much more. I will be buyiing some things after they get here, stuff we wont need right away.

The kids are more than excited that we are having a boy and girl. Lexi cheered, Kaylee smiled really big. Mikey probably doesn't want another sister but he does think its cool. He was less than thrilled when I decided to tease him and tell him they were both girls. I really thought he was going to break down in tears so I quickly told him that he was infact still getting a brother and a sister.
