Snuggling

Rough

I had a rough and stressful day yesterday and I am glad it is over and today was a much better day. I will still have some stress in the weeks ahead but nothing compared to yesterday!

I cant believe Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away! This whole year has just flown by.

Clutter

Today I have spent my day organizing and clearing out clutter as planned. I now have all the babies stuff cleaned up! I have boxes and boxes of outgrown clothes, maternity clothes and some of the big kids clothes ready for a yard sale. I also sorted and bagged up clothes that don't yet fit the babies and labeled them by size. It feels great to have it all separated and ready to go. I finished hanging all the laundry from yesterday, that was a chore.

I cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom, even wiped down the outside of the cabinets! It's no good having white cabinets! I need to really look at what I have in the kitchen and clear out stuff I don't use. I did get rid of a fryer, my husband looked at me like I was crazy. I told him we haven't used it in over a year so why keep it? So out it went!

I went thru the big kids closets and got rid of things I know don't fit them any longer. Kaylee had some sandals that she wouldn't let me get rid of, every time she wore them her heal or toes were hanging off. I tried to explain to her they were too small but she said they fit perfectly! So they are gone and I hope she doesn't look for them.

I hope I can be done clearing everything out within the next week! And then I will plan the yard sale, I'm thinking we will have it in the spring or late winter. And I don't plan on bringing anything back home, if it doesn't sell I'm dropping it at goodwill or a local charity.

The kids had a good week at school. Kaylee did do her usual crying in the morning not wanting to go to school. It really drives me crazy when she does that but I make her go to school. I would love to have her home but I would hate for her to miss out on learning, plus she will come home and tell me she loves school. She is just too tired in the morning and I know that is why she cries about going.

With the holidays fast approaching I have started to think about photos for our Christmas card. I usually take the pictures myself but this year I have asked my sister if she would take family pictures. I know she will take what I am wanting and it will be free. It helps that its someone we all know and love and we will be able to be ourselves. Now between the two of us we are trying to decide on a location because I will be taking her family picture too. I really like a spot in her backyard and mentioned it to her but she sadly told me the big tree in the back is dead/dying and it wouldn't look too good. So now to find a park to take the pictures. It will be nice to have a family picture, I will look forward to getting a enlargement for the wall in our living room. I hope all my turkeys cooperate and let us get good photos!

I think my bed may be calling me, I am exhausted!

Laundry Day

I desperately needed to do laundry, living in an apartment and not having direct washer/dryer hookup sucks! I can't do laundry during the day when I am home because that wouldn't work, how would I possibly tote laundry and two babies to the laundry room here? So laundry happens in the evenings when I am off work. I usually do laundry here but when I was sick I missed doing my laundry so it piled up some more and then my lovely sister gave me some clothes for Kaylee, so I had mounds of laundry to do.

So this evening I loaded up the car and hauled it to the laundry mat down the road. I still have some to wash, blankets and a few things I forgot or didn't get put into the baskets. But it is done and I will hopefully load back up and finish the rest on Sunday if I am off that day.

I also have a large amount of 2t stuff that needs to be washed but I am thinking of boxing it back up and waiting until we need it to wash it.

I took Kaylee and Lexi with me to the laundry mat, Lexi was a big help, Kaylee was no help at all. But we got it done and then had to run by the grocery store for a few things and then finally home to unload it all.

I got all of Kaylee's stuff hung, gave Lexi her stuff which I'm not sure if she hung or not. Mikey decided to leave his until tomorrow. I still have to sort socks and undies and fold wash clothes but that can wait until tomorrow.

It's been a long day and I'm sure tomorrow will be even longer. Planning on doing some organizing and decluttering! Organize the babies closets as well.

Halloween

Tonight was great, all the kids had a blast. Ellie and Harley were little angels while trick or treating. They ended up with a few suckers and even tried one and loved it. I'm so glad we met up with my sister and made the rounds with her and her bunch.
