Last Day

Kaylee had her last day of speech class today, she was very excited because she knows she will be going to Kindergarten very soon. Although she doesn't know that she will be starting Summer school in about 3 weeks. I think it will go well though, it will be something new for her, yes it will still be speech but it will be a one on one with a speech teacher and probably once a week, I think. She's set up for 60 minutes a week, I hope its one class and not broke down to two classes, that would seem like a waste. And I really hope its not scheduled early in the mornings, I am looking forward to the kids being out of school and getting to enjoy some sleeping in.
So after speech class today Kaylee and I went to the famous McDonalds. One of her friends from speech happened to be there so she had a blast playing with someone at McDonalds that she actually knew. After McD's I had a decision to make, go grocery shopping or go by the dollar store. I chose the dollar store, I wasn't really in the mood to go and buy all the groceries and then have to haul them all up the stairs by myself. So we will go grocery shopping tomorrow. I'll have all the kids but thats extra sets of hands to help me carry it all. I really don't have much to get this week anyway, so it will all be good.
Mikey and Lexi are excited because they only have 1 week left of school. Today was Lexi's awards day, she got 9, yes 9 awards. I'm so proud. Mikey's was yesterday and he got 3 awards! Kay even got an award today, she was so excited. But that may have been because the award had princesses on it.

Silence

Well I've gone a month and a half without blogging and I'm sorry. Where to begin alot has happened. The first week of April I found out I was miscarrying. It's been tough but I have gotten past it and I'm moving on. I am still sad about it, who wouldn't be. It was tough delivering the news to the kids. Lexi was really upset, Mikey was ok, it didn't seem to bother him. Kaylee thought Mommy was just playing, she didn't believe it and every now and then she will ask if the baby is in my belly. I have to tell her no the baby went to heaven to be with Jesus, and maybe one day we will have a baby. I'm still unsure whether I want to try again. I do want another baby but it will be so hard if I miscarry again.
I've been dealing with insurance stuff that is driving me crazy. The kids insurance and my own. At the moment I have no documentation showing the kids are on insurance. I really hope that we know something soon.
Work has been rocky, they cut back on hours which was hurting us. Now we are three people short so my hours have gone back up, thankfully. I will welcome more hours.
The kids only have six more days left for the school year. I'm happy but not ready. I do not look forward to all the fights. I hope maybe just maybe they will behave this summer. I want little to no fights.
Kaylee's last day of school is tomorrow, but she will start summer school sometime in June. I hope it will be the second week of June. Lisa, Milo and Reese will be coming home May 31st to June 10th and I can't wait. I'm so excited to see them. We already have a trip planned to the zoo and I hope its not too bad heat wise. It will be lots of water and sunscreen I'm sure.
My dad was in a motorcycle wreck a few weeks back. He was riding along and a driver on the other side of the road decided he was going to u-turn and didn't even see my dad. My dad tried to swerve but couldn't and ended up hitting the guys bumper, the force made him fly over the windshield. He ended up with alot of bumps and bruises and a broken ankle. Last week he had surgery on his ankle and had screws put in. He's been in alot of pain, but I think he is on the mend now. Tuesday this week he had a follow up and he is healing well. The insurance adjuster totaled his motorcycle, whats bad is he had only had the motorcycle for 2 weeks when the wreck happened. So he will be without a motorcycle for quite sometime. He's hired an attorney and is getting everything taken care of. He will also be out of work for at least 12 weeks.
