The last few weeks have been hectic. I got sick which involved my first ever case of hives. Never again do i wish to have those. It all started with me being sick with what I'm pretty sure was the flu. I had fever for several days and body aches. Left work early one day, missed a day of work as well. Then I got hives, on the third day of hives I finally decided to go to the dr. I hate going to the dr, but when my fingers started swelling I decided it was time to go. Diagnosis was bronchitis and maybe the hives were from laundry detergent or viral. I was prescribed a cough medicine and antibiotic and a steroid shot. Which i proclaimed to the nurse "it's gonna hurt" before she stuck me. It stung a little and wasn't that bad. But i had to lay there for a bit to make sure i wouldn't have a reaction to it. The shot definitely worked, my hives were gone for 2 days, came back slightly on Thanksgiving morning but were gone just as quick as they showed up. My cough has stuck around but really seems to be getting better since the last few days.
Mike started his new job this past week. That has been stressful since we only have one car and it's been worrisome about how we get Kaylee from school. So far we have picked her up on time, but I've drilled it into her that if we aren't out there not to worry we are on our way. So far mike likes his job, it's pretty much what he was doing at his other job.
Kids have been doing well at school. I feel like I've been on an extended vacation from work. Work a few days have many days off, work one day have a few days off. It's been strange but i have enjoyed the extra time at home.
Christmas gift buying has been happening. I am pretty much done with shopping but just yesterday we ran into a problem. I put a few things on layway at walmart. Yesterday in decided to go and pay off my layway and pick it up. It was a disaster. They have lost my layway. Yes you read right, lost it, can't be found, three items can't be replaced as they have zero instock.
..... Continuing this post from the 6th, oops....
So yes they lost some of my kids christmas gifts. Talk about being furious. I was at walmart for three and a half hours trying to get my layway. In the end I had them return the missing items and left the store with a promise of a callback to see if they could locate my items at other locations. I never got called back as promised. The next day I went back in hopes that they had located my items. No such luck. I spoke to someone else and we came into an agreement that if I located one said item they would price match no matter what. So I was able to locate the said item and purchased and Mike picked it up the next day. After I got off work I headed back to walmart to get my price match. That was easy. Now the day I went to pick up my layway I purchased an xbox card and was told it wouldn't activate and that I wasn't charged. I was charged and didn't catch it until after left the store. So that was a big mess too. Finally got my refund back on that two days later. It really was a big mess.
For one of the items I located at target, bought that. I will never do layway again no matter how much it helped me out. It was the most ridiculous experience ever. And they were very unprofessional on how they treated the whole matter.
