I can't remember to write here for nothing! You would think it would be a reminder with me having the app on my phone but even though i see it everyday i forget to write here. Alot has happened since March. We celebrated Easter at our house. My parents joined us. Sadly my sister and her family didnt make it. Her twins were sick. So it was just us and it was a great day. As usual I made way too much food.
April we didn't do too much other than the normal got to school, go to work. Mike and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary. We had a nice weekend away. It really was awkward waking up to no kids. Last time we did that was when I was pregnant with the twins and the big kids liked spending alot of weekends at Grandma's house. We drove out to winstar in Oklahoma. It really was a lot of fun. We ended up coming out ahead so that was even nicer. We have officially decided we have to do more away trips just us two. Other than not waking up to kids, it was great being able to have conversations without kids interrupting. And holding hands and him opening the car door for me! We get so caught up in the everyday stuff, we forget the little things that are nice.
Two weeks after our adventure we celebrated Lexi turning 15! It's hard to believe she is that old. Where has the time really gone? I've been getting a little sentimental these past few weeks. Of course realizing she will only have 3 more years of school and then she will be off to college. I am really hoping she will go to a college close by. We have talked about maybe her going to the community college to get her basics and then choose a bigger school later. But ultimately it's her decision. Just today she kiddingly said she's not going to college. Her choice. I didn't go to college and I could still go. I have thought about it time to time. I still could if I wanted.
Lexi wrapped up her gymnastics. She choose not to go to her banquet. She says she didn't miss anything. I think she should have went but it was her choice for not going.
School will be out in a little more than a week. We don't have any plans set yet for summer, although I would like for us to take a weekend trip somewhere. Maybe to the coast or maybe north. A nice family trip would be good for us.
Today Kaylee graduated from 3rd grade. I am so proud of her. She made A/B honor roll for the year, got an award for citizenship, music and completion of the 3rd grade. The twins were so well behaved at the ceremony and it helped that Mike was there with us.
