Updates

Thanksgiving was a good one this year. We went to my mom's for dinner and its was delicious!!! All the kids had a good time and it was good getting to visit with my Mom and Dad. I feel like I don't see them enough anymore. The couple of days after Thanksgiving were a blur because Mike got sick with either food poisoning or a stomach virus. He was sick for 4 days!! On the tuesday following Thanksgiving I had a sonogram again and they fiinally got all the pictures needed. Our ultrasound tech was awesome too he printed me 15 photos!! These babies are going to have quite the sonogram picture collection by the time they are here. So both babies are growing great. Our boy is measuring a week ahead and weighing about 3lbs 1oz. Our girl is measuring right on schedule and weighing about 2lbs 11oz. I really can't believe I am now 29 almost 30 weeks pregnant with these babies. They are going to be here before we know it. The very next day I had my regular ob appt, I got my results from my diabetes test and I passed with flying colors. My only problem is my iron is very low. It tested at 26 and I need to be between 34-48. So I am now on iron pills along with my daily prenatal. I hate that I am having to take the iron pill but I will, I hope I can raise my level by delivery. My dr spoke about the possiblilty of a blood transfusion after delivery and I really would like to avoid that by all costs. I did get irritated at my dr because at my first initial appointment when they took blood it came back that I had low iron and he didnt bother to tell me about it. So I've now got about 8 weeks to get my iron up. I could have had so much more time if they had told me earlier. I really despise taking the iron pills because of the effects but I am taking them. So we are preparing for the Christmas Season. I've been buying a little bit here and there of gifts. I'm about half way done if not more, I hope to knock some more out this week and hopefully finish next week. The kids are getting excited and they understand that this year we are not buying as much as we usually do. And its not because of money issues but because they have too much stuff to begin with and they will be getting gifts from other people. They are cute because they have been trying to guess what I have bought for them so far and they are so wrong. Well until next time!
