Weekend

It's finally the weekend which means yesterday my 3 school kids started their holiday break. No school until January 5th. I'm working all weekend, boo. But I am off on Monday and if things go right I plan to take the kids to six flags to see the lights. I know the little ones will enjoy it. I plan to make it a total surprise if we go. The weather is suppose to be nice so hopefully it holds.

I am ready for Christmas, I bought 3 more gifts this evening. I need to get 2 more but if I don't it won't really hurt anything. I have to finalize one gift I created and print it off at work. I am just unsure on a date so it is making it difficult. And I don't want to ask the person the date because then it might give it away.

Better

Feeling better today! Yay. I haven't coughed as much today and I finished one of my medications today. 1 down 1 to go. Well make that 5 more days to go. I finally have a finalized list of things that still need to be bought for christmas. So I will take Mike to work tomorrow so I can hopefully complete that list. The plan is to make a Target trip. Hope I can get out of there under $100 dollars.

Tomorrow evening after dinner we plan to go see Santa at the bass pro shop. It's  free and we get a free photo. The kids also get a little keychain thing. So if Harley and Ella have meltdowns about Santa it is only costing us our time and the drive there and back. But I have been talking to them about him so I am hopeful that they will sit in his lap and give smiles at the camera.

Waiting on the remainder of Christmas cards to show up in the mail. I hope when I get home I have an orange package waiting for me from Shutterfly. And that it is actually my cards. I have 3 packages coming from them.

Still sick

Forgot to mention in my previous post that I have still been sick. I actually went back to the dr last week and was told I had acute bronchitis. 3 new prescriptions  and  I am feeling better each day. It all started with me hurting in my ribs. Thankfully  no pneumonia. Just bruised ribs or an irritated lung. I am happy to say my coughing has decreased and I have slept better the last few days. On the road to recovery.

Shopped Out

I believe I am almost done with Christmas shopping. I finally scored some grandparent gifts. I need to get one more for 2 seperate grandparents and I also need to buy for my nieces kids. Then I will be done.

I am having a hard time believing that Christmas is in 10 days. I am trying to get all my baking needs in order, thats fun. Kaylee is excited for cutout cookies. I am excited for fudge, lol. Lexi is wanting oreo truffles. I want to make chocolate chip cookies and maybe pecan bars. I love holiday baking.

I am really excited to see the kids open their gifts christmas morning. They are excited to open a gift on christmas eve. I will let them open their pjs and maybe a small stocking stuffer.

Oh shoot just remembered that i really need to get my hubby another gift.

Well we have had a good weekend. I had the weekend off and yesterday went to visit my sister. We went to lunch and did some shopping. It was really nice to spend some time with her. Today we went and did a little grocery shopping and then picked up Lexi from her friends house. Got the groceries in and put away and then we made a visit to Michaels and an awesome store called 5 and below. Then back home so we could relax. Well i wrapped the remaining gifts and then did a little cooking. I tried to take a nap but Ella was awake before I could even lay my head on the pillow. I did get my mom's  yearly calendar made. I am missing 2 peoples photos and I have threatened stick figures in their place if I don't get their pictures. They have until tomorrow at 3 or they are going to be looking pretty thin. I know it sounds mean but I have asked for pictures since October.

Anyway we are almost ready for christmas, the kids are excited as am I. I am also looking forward to the kids winter break. It will be fun.

Dream

The last few weeks have been hectic. I got sick which involved  my first ever case of hives. Never again do i wish to have those. It all started with me being sick with what I'm  pretty sure was the flu. I had fever for several days and body aches. Left work early one day, missed a day of work as well. Then I  got hives, on the third day of hives I  finally decided to go to the dr. I hate going to the dr, but when my fingers started swelling I  decided it was time to go. Diagnosis  was bronchitis  and maybe the hives were  from laundry detergent  or viral. I was prescribed  a cough medicine and antibiotic and a steroid shot. Which i proclaimed to the nurse "it's  gonna hurt" before she stuck me. It stung a little and wasn't  that bad. But i had to lay there for a bit to make sure i wouldn't  have a reaction to it. The shot definitely  worked, my hives  were gone for 2 days, came back slightly  on Thanksgiving  morning but were gone just as quick as they showed up. My cough has stuck around but really seems to be getting better since the last few days.

Mike started his new job this past week. That has been stressful  since we only have one car and it's  been worrisome  about how we get Kaylee from school. So far we have picked her up on time, but I've  drilled it into her that if we aren't  out there not to worry we are on our way. So far mike likes his job, it's  pretty much what he was doing  at his other job.

Kids have been doing  well at school. I feel like I've  been on an extended vacation from work. Work a few days have many days off, work one day have a few  days off. It's  been strange but i have enjoyed  the extra time at home.

Christmas  gift buying has been happening. I am pretty much done with shopping but just yesterday we ran into a problem. I put a few things on layway at walmart. Yesterday in decided to go and pay off my layway and pick it up. It was a disaster.  They have lost my layway. Yes you read right, lost it,  can't  be found, three items can't  be replaced as they have zero instock.
..... Continuing this post from the 6th, oops....

So yes they lost some of my kids christmas gifts. Talk about being furious. I was at walmart for three and a half hours trying to get my layway. In the end I had them return the missing items and left the store with a promise of a callback to see if they could locate my items at other locations. I never got called back as promised. The next day I went back in hopes that they had located my items. No such luck. I spoke to someone else and we came into an agreement that if I located one said item they would price match no matter what. So I was able to locate the said item and purchased and Mike picked it up the next day. After I got off work I headed back to walmart to get my price match. That was easy. Now the day I went to pick up my layway I purchased an xbox card and was told it wouldn't activate and that I wasn't charged. I was charged and didn't  catch it until after left the store. So that was a big mess too. Finally got my refund back on that two days later. It really was a big mess.
For one of the items I located at target, bought that. I will never do layway again no matter how much it helped me out. It was the most ridiculous experience ever. And they were very unprofessional on how they treated the whole matter.

Blurred

The past week has been a blur, I was sick with a cold or the flu. It was horrible. Missed work one day and then home early on another day. My check tomorrow will be feeling it.

Mike found out yesterday that he will begin his new job on December 1st. I think he's excited but nervous as well. The good is he will keep his current pay and automatically sign up for insurance.  He gave his current boss his letter of resignation today. We still don't know if the new job will affect my job. But we are glad that he will be closer to home.

The kids are doing good. We are getting ready for thanksgiving.  Were hosting this year so there will be lots and lots of cooking. I am thankful that I do not have to work on thanksgiving evening. We will be opened which just sucks all together. But my boss did think of me and give me off as well as the day before which is good since there will be lots and lots of cooking to be done.

I am still unsure if I will go shopping on black Friday.  I think im going to try to grab some deals online, not sure if I want to fight the crowds.

If I don't get back here before thanksgiving I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed day with family and friends.

Back to it

I've been back at work since Tuesday and I'm ready for another vacation! I walked into a mess going back to work. Just a lot of miscommunication in my department. If you jave worked there for 8 years and you still can't get the job done correctly maybe it's not the job for you. It all boils down to a lot of simple tasks that you can't seem to get right. Anyway I'm back at work and tired of cleaning up after everyone.

Halloween was alot of fun. We took the three youngest to trunk or treat. That was a blast. We just did the trunk or treat, we skipped the bounce houses and games. Kaylee didn't mind and anyway the twins are still too little for all that. We left and it was still daylight. That was amazing. After we were done we went to my mom and dads house.  We surprised them, they weren't expecting us at all. All the kids had a good time and Mikey had fun with his friend and family.

Lasy Sunday we spent the day at my parents house. It was nice to visit and enjoy a meal together.

I was really sad to go back to work. I really enjoyed being home with the kids and Mike. It was nice to help Kaylee on her homework every night.

Halloween

The kids are really excited. Kaylee has been counting down the days. Lexi will be spending the weekend with a friend and I'm pretty sure they will go trick or treating. Mikey has asked to go with a friend and his family. I really didn't want to let him but since the boys mom is going I said ok. So I will have 3 trick or treaters. Kaylee is going as Elsa from frozen, Ella is going as Ana from frozen and Harley will be going as Sulley from Monsters Inc.

For the girls I bought their costumes. I didn't buy Harley one because my sister brought me the Sulley costume and a Spiderman costume. We tried both on the other day and the spiderman is too small. The Sulley is perfect. I really wanted him to go as Kristoff from Frozen but we couldn't find the costume and I had no desire to create it.

In the end they are going to have fun, get lots of candy and wear themselves out with alot of walking.

Photo transfer

I have been wanting to try photo transfers for so long. I bought my mod podge photo medium transfer about 2 months ago. It's just been sitting here waiting for me to do something with it. You have to print your pictures on a copier, a laser. Don't do inkjet, that's typically your printer you use at home. Go to office depot, office max or staples to have your pictures printed. And just print on regular 20# paper. Oh and the bottle mentions that you cannot use original photos. This is printed photos from a photo lab. Also if you are printing words you have to invert your photo so when you transfer it will be read the right way. I inverted all my photos just because I knew I would know they were backwards if I didn't.  That might be an ocd thing.

So I printed my photos on a laser printer and then trimmed them out. I found my wood pieces at michaels. They were really cheap and already sanded and stained on the sides.

Take your picture and apply an even coat on the front side of the photo. I used a good medium thick coat and then placed the photo on the wood piece. My picture I left slightly bigger than the wood so I got full coverage on the wood piece. Then I used an extra piece of wood and made sure the photo was evenly and all air bubbles were pressed out. You can also use a brayer if you have one. I have one and was just too lazy to go pull it out.

Let them fully dry. It has to be completely dry before you can do the next step. I let mine dry overnight. I did check on them about 8 hours in and they seem completely dry but decided to wait until 24 hours.

So this morning I started with a wet rag on my transfers, let me add it was damp. You want all the paper wet so it will start to loosen.  Rub the paper off with the rag. I was real easy with the first transfer piece and then I found my groove. You will notice that one layer comes off and your left with a thin layer of white paper. I was doing 7 pieces so I moved on to the next and let that one dry. When I went back to the first one I rubbed little fuzzies off. I was still left with minimal fuzzies.

When I was done with all they still looked covered with paper, I noticed on one that it was starting to take the photo color off so I decided I was done with removing the paper.
I took sand paper and sanded the edges slightly. Sanding removed the overhang of paper and the photo transfer solution that dried. When dried it was like a spongy piece of latex.  After sanding I used an inkpad to grundge the edges.

My next step was I let them all fully dry and it didn't take long at all. Then I put mod podge gloss on as a top coat. I was really worried that would still see the minimal fuzzies. When the mod podge dried they were perfect. I do despise mod podge though because it always seems tacky feeling and its difficult to get all the brush stoke lines out. I plan to invest in some krylon clear coat for my next project.

I love them and really cant believe how they turned out.

Altered

I recently bought a box made for my cricut carts. I was going to toss all the empty cricut boxes but decided to keep and alter them. I figure they will be great for markers and pens that I use for scrapping. And some pens and markers are better if you store them upside down so using these boxes will be perfect.

Plans

I had all this stuff I wanted to accomplish while on vacation and really none of it is getting done. Maybe today I will get something done. I have some pictures I want to do transfers of and I plan on getting that done today. I found a cute project I want to try and I guess I could go ahead and get the computer part done so I can have it printed.

This week has been relaxing though. I haven't had to worry about work. And even though I didn't have a car I have kept myself busy with the twins and it's been a pretty good week.

Tomorrow is Halloween and kaylee is very excited. I'm excited to see them all in their costumes. Now the frustration of figuring out what were going to do. We want tongo to the rec center but I also want to go to my mom's.  I am sure whatever we decide the kids will be happy and enjoy.

School has been going good for the kids. I don't believe Mikey will play anymore ball this season. He is really struggling to get his grades up. I honestly don't think he's trying. Kaylee is really excelling in school and I couldn't be more proud. Her reading has improved so much. And she's not telling me that she's not smart. Though yesterday she did tell me her brain doesn't work. And I told her that wasn't true. She really has started to click with everything. I remember when mikey finally clicked and life was so much better when it came to homework.

A month almost gone

It's been almost a month since I last blogged. I've been busy and too caught up in life to get on here.

Things have been going well. I am actually on vacation right now, not that I am vacationing. I get to do all the normal stuff. But at least I don't have to work!

We experienced a stomach bug. I say we but it was only Ella and Harley. We ended up having to take Ella to the E.R. , she just kept continuing to vomit and wouldn't stop. They were able to give her a pill to help her stop vomiting and it worked. Ella got sick first and then a week later it was Harley. I am really glad nobody else got sick.

Work has been stressful.  I really hope we get more help soon. I actually might cut my hours down alot with Mike switching jobs. Still waiting on word to find out when he will be switching.  Might be the end of November or December.

The kids have been doing ok in school. Kaylee has raised her grades. Mikey is struggling with 2 classes. He has actually been held out of football games because of it. :(  He might get to play next Monday's game but we will see. Lexi is doing pretty well. Her grades are good.

Ella and Harley have been well too. Learning more and more. Growing and changing. It's amazing how they change month to month.

Gone

Gone is my cold but the allergies are here. Every morning it's the same, blowing my nose and itchy eyes and nose. Ugh. I will be glad when this settles down. Hopefully the cold front and possible rain will help in the next week.

Yesterday Mike stayed home from work. It was nice to have him home but the day went too fast.  I am in need of new clothes so we went shopping for that. We stopped at ross at the mall and I didn't find a thing. We ended up heading to another ross and I found a shirt. It is so hard to shop for myself. I see so many cute things and usually they are too small. That should be enough for me to get off my rump and exercise. Anyway I find it difficult to find shirts that look alright on my fit.

Mikey had his Monday night football game and as far as I know they did good. Neither team scored. He said they almost did and fumbled. We only stayed for about 7 minutes.  Kaylee took the umbrella away from the twins which made them want to climb the bleachers so I just decided ok time to go.  Bleachers are too dangerous for 2 year olds.

After we picked up Mikey we went to target to get a few things. Then it was back home to get ready for bed.

A bit better

Yesterday was a long day for me. I was exhasted and still sick. I'm feeling a little better this morning. I took care of the twins as usual. I was not only not feeling well but I was grumpy. I hate that feeling. I pushed through the day, my morning I spent cleaning and then doing some organizing. I sure wish I could get organized and stay that way!

Today I did the laundry and put it mostly away. I can never seem to do it all at once. I gave the twins lunch and they actually ate today. They must finally be recovered from this cold. I wish I could say the same. Everything still smells and tastes funny. I cleaned up after their lunch and made mine. After I ate I had to break up a fight between the two and they layed down. Next thing I knew they were asleep. So I fully took advantage and took a nap myself.

When I woke up from my lovely nap Mike was already home. So I reluctantly got up knowing I had to go to work. Today was just a blah day and I really hope that tomorrow I can get up and stay up without going back to bed after the kids are at school. I am off tomorrow and hopefully I feel even better. I would like to be 100% better by Saturday,  we are trying to plan a trip to six flags. I guess time will tell.

2 done

I managed to get 2 of my craft projects done. One was a plastic folgers coffee can that I made a new label for and is now my new piggy bank. Not really a big project but one that was sitting on my desk waiting to be done. Secondly I made those shirts for the 3 little kids. And I'm excited that they will be put to use this afternoon at mikeys football game. I ended up just doing the front of the shirt. I had planned to put their last name and mikeys football number on the back but decided not too so they can be used for other school things.

I was off work yesterday but I didn't get too much done. I was sick. I still am. I hate being sick. I started the day by hanging out in my bed and then taking Lexi to give my mom some popcorn to sell and then by my sisters house to sell popcorn to her. I didn't even get out of the car. I felt bad for doing that but my short trip would have ended up being a long trip and I didn't feel well. On the way home I stopped for sonic drinks and fed the twins.

Then I had a crazy idea to take them to the park. That was fun but it was so hot. I let them play for about 20 minutes.  I wish it had been longer but it wasn't.  After the park we came home and the twins cooled down as did the rest of us. We just lounged around the rest of the evening. I made a cake, a new recipe. It was okay.  Next time though I will substitute the almond extract for vanilla. The almond was a little strong in taste.

#60

Mikey played his game on Monday night and they won 12-0!!!! I don't think he quit smiling all night! It ended up being Kaylee, Ella and myself who watched him play. Harley was napping, so Mike stayed home with him and Lexi was practically dead on the couch. She was sick and didn't feel well so I didn't even try to wake her. He did good and you could tell most of these boys were nervous. It really was awesome. And the girls enjoyed it. Ella liked cheering and clapping. And his number is 60. It was quite funny because he shares that number with another kid.  So now I have rethought and im not going to put his number on the twins shirts. That would be awkward.

Harley ended up getting sick tuesday night. I was at work and got a phone call, he threw up on mike. As of last night Ella is sick too. They barely slept last night too. They have colds. I think Harley threw up because of drainage. I will be glad when this sickness is over.

I'm proud of Kaylee, she brought her progress report home yesterday and she is passing everything.  She is only struggling in math at this point and I hope to help her boost her math skills. I have a few math websites and some flashcards for her. I wanted to do some worksheets but I don't think she would be thrilled about more paperwork.

I am ready to have tomorrow off. I am so tired this week. Plus I have a few craft projects I am trying to work on. I really need to get the shirts done so the 3 little kids can wear them on Monday. Thats my focus as of now. I also have a wood transfer project but I think I need some wood slabs.

It's about time to take kids to school and then maybe back home to take a nap.

Game time!

Well today is Mikeys first football game! I'm so excited to see him play. I was really worried that he wouldn't get to play because of grades but I believe he got that straightend out. So we will all go to see him play at 6:30. Of course I think Lexi may stay home, she doesn't feel well. She has a sore throat and just feels blah. I am concerned about taking the twins but we will see how it goes. I hope they do well. I am in the process of making tshirts for them to wear to the games. I really hoped to have them ready for tonight but Mikey doesn't have his jersey number yet, so maybe for next weeks game.

I don't think I wrote about the car dying on my again! Our red car, we got it back on Friday from the mechanic and I drove it to work on Saturday.  When I went to lunch that day the car wouldn't start. Ugh! Thats 3 Saturdays in 4 weeks! Maybe I should start walking to work! Anyway we got to the mechanic today and they will pick it up from my work and find out what is wrong with it. I tell ya these cars are expensive. So now just the waiting game to see how much it will cost to fix. I really am so done with that car! We have probably put more money into it than it's worth.

Worried

Tomorrow is Monday and Mikeys first football game. I am not sure if he will play or not.  If he isn't passing all of his classes he doesn't get to play. He plans to retake a test tomorrow but I don't think it will be enough. It is also upsetting because the class he is failing is a class he wasn't required to take but forced by the school. I hope he gets to play. I know rules are rules but he had a semi rough start upon finding out 2 of his classes were forced by the school. He thought I had put him in them.  Either way it all boils down to the states standardized testing. I don't agree with any of it. I believe those tests are ruining some of our children. I also believe the teachers do nothing but teach material for the test. I think it's good to have a test to show what the kids have learned but they just cram all this crud at them and if they don't pass they get to stress all over again studying. Then if they don't pass the retake they either fail that grade or have to retake the next year. I simply don't agree with the tests. If I knew a way around the test I would and wouldn't force my kid to take this test.

Pictures

Yesterday I cleared out all the pictures on my phone. Oh and videos too. I had 10gb of photos and video, crazy. My sd wasn't full but it wasn't going to be long before it was. I don't carry my camera with me like I use to so my phone camera always comes into play. Isn't it great to have such wonderful technology at our fingertips?

Today I don't have too much planned. I think though I will set up the twins table and chairs in their room and let them play with it. I hate that we keep it put away but they like to climb on it. I need to go thru my clutter in my room. I have a stack of picture frames in my closet that have no pictures in them but yet I don't want to do away with them. Maybe I can cram them somewhere until I use them. I also have a dismantled dora the explorer desk/storage stored in my closet too. Hopefully I can start to declutter a bit. I plan to take a vacation soon but would rather not use my whole vacation for cleaning.

As I close this post I ask for prayers for a customer from work. I found out he is really sick and can use good thoughts and prayers for a great recovery. Also for another customer although I don't know her, her dog is missing. She seemed very distraught about her missing pooch. I sure hope someone finds her soon.

Week 2

Last week was crazy and I am thrilled for a less busy week! The kids had a good first week back. Lexi was very excited to finally begin gymnastics today. Mikey he likes jr high but is not liking the homework. I hope he changes that or else he won't be playing sports with school. Kaylee likes school when she wants to. We did buy her a new lunchbox over the weekend, a frozen lunchbox, so she was excited to go to school this morning with her packed lunch.

I worked all weekend, 2 eight hour shifts. I was so tired and happy that I was able to sleep in on Monday since there was no school. I have to work today but thankfully I will be off tomorrow for my hubbys birthday. Yesterday we went to six flags. We didn't stay too long. And I was fine with that. I had too much other stuff to get done at home. I cut Mikeys hair since we missed that the first week of school. I also helped kaylee shampoo her hair. She has problems with doing it herself. I also did a load of laundry. Chores never end.

Most days I wonder why in the heck did I want to become an adult! It's tough.

I almost forgot, I broke the other car on Saturday.  Yep of course I was driving it but thankfully I was close to home. Unlike if my husband had been driving home from work he wouldn't have made it home. By the time I got it home it was overheating and all the gauges were acting weird. The husband is pretty sure it is the serpentine belt and plans to change it out tomorrow.  I hope he will be able to do this job himself. We can't afford to send another car to the mechanic.

^^^ The above was from the other day^^^

Yesterday was hubbys birthday. When Kaylee asked me how old dad is now I told her and her reply was oh I thought he was 100 today! He had a pretty good day.  We got up and I started laundry after I took the kids to school.  Then we headed out to go find a book for Lexi that she needed for school. Our first stop didn't have it but they were able to check another store for us and they had it. Yay! Then by his choice he stopped off and got the serpentine belt for his car.

We got back to the house and I switched out laundry and then we headed back out to grab some lunch. We ended up at Cicis pizza. And this time the twins actually ate. Actually Harley did until he noticed the game room which terrifies him. I guess its the sounds and the darkness.

We got back home and Mike tried to fix the car. Decided it has another problem as well. It is going to be between 2 and 5 hundred to fix, that was the given estimate. The mechanic won't know exactly until he looks at it. I say forget about that car and try to get a new car. I am off work this weekend so we are going to "look".  I think it would be better to get something a little more reliable.  The current car we paid $500 for. We bought it from my sister. The car is 20 years old. If we can find something with a small monthly payment I would be happy with that. So maybe we will find something.

Day 3

The kids have had a good week so far. Yesterday you could see tiredness in all their faces. And this morning it took a bit to get them out of bed. Well Kaylee and Mikey anyway. Lexi woke me up. Oops. I worked late last night, didn't get home until 11pm and wasn't ready for sleep until almost 12:30 am. The hubby tried to wake me but failed. Tonight will be another late night and I'm sure to be zonked tomorrow.

We got our car back yesterday.  They changed out the coolant reserve and recharged the ac. Driving it this morning, the ac works fine. No strange noises. I hope this fixed whatever the problem was. I am thankful we have the little red car though. It would be so tough again if we only had one car.

I don't have too much to do today. I plan to try and clean up a little bit and I've been trying to do some organizing. I would like to take a nap but that is always last on the list. I need to vacuum but I may need to wait on that. I am just very tired.

Time

5:30- Up for the day

5:40- Armed myself with my camera and headed upstairs to wake the kids.

Lexi was already awake and fixing her hair. Kaylee procrastinating waking up. Mikey just gave me the deer in the headlights look. Maybe because my camera flashed so much before it took the pic.

5:55- Kaylee finally up

6:00- Mikey in the shower
Kaylee came downstairs and she said she was ready. But no brushed teeth or hair. Sent her back upstairs.

6:10- I put dishes away as Lexi made her breakfast.

6:20- Mikey appeared and Lexi was making sure he has everything. Check, check, check... oh wait no locker lock.

6:21- begin search for lock.... underbed... in drawer.... closet.... bed.... window.... drawer again.... bathroom (yes, you would never believe stuff we find there).... closet again... sisters room. No lock in the end, even though he just had it 2 days ago.

6:45- Finally got Kaylees hair brushed. And shes asking again if it is time to go.

7:00- Kaylee just asked again if it's time to go. Mikey just came and asked too. I haven't seen Lexi in a bit, she is probably slathering on the makeup. I finally finished my cup of coffee, time for a refill.

7:15- Lexi says they are leaving, going to ride the bus.

7:17- I notice they didn't take their signed papers and I still had Mikeys schedule. So I told Kaylee go yell at them to come back.

7:20- Gave them their papers and lexi $5 for a library fine she already paid.

7:27- Dropped a nervous Kaylee off at school.

7:33- Back home and peace and quiet except for the news channel running in the background.

The calm before the storm

Relaxing today as tomorrow will be chaos. It is the first day of school. So back to waiting in the drop off and pick up lines. Waiting for kids to get home from the bus. Homework, papers that need parents signatures. More school supplies to buy for the two in jr high.

I'm excited for the kids but I will miss their company. I'm nervous for Mikey as it is his first year of jr high but I know he will do fine. I'm nervous for Kaylee as she will be all alone in elementary, but I know she will do fine. I'm nervous for Lexi as it is her last year of jr high and next year she will be in that big high school. But I know she will be fine. They will all be FINE. I hope they all do well this school year and succeed.

Tomorrow will be a busy one. Take the kids to school and then I have to take my car to the shop. Yesterday on the drive home it was overheating.  We are pretty sure it needs a new coolant reserve as the current one has cracks. We also plan to have the ac serviced. And it could be all linked. Maybe a fan or a clog but we wont know until we get it to them. I will also need to take the jr high kids for any school supplies they need. Then on thursday I have 2 meetings to attend. One for kaylee and one for lexi. Hopefully we will have the car back by then.

So it will be a crazy week with back to school and then work on top of that. Car problems. Tiredness from the kids.

Yesterday I was able to take Mikey and pick up his glasses. I'm glad they were quick to get them to us since he really wanted them for the first day. He says he can see really well now. He didn't realize his vision was bad.

Cleaning

I got to sleep in until 9:20 this morning. I had been waking up at 8 the past few weeks, so that was a treat. But I did have interrupted sleep last night. I woke around 1 am to go to the potty. Then at 6 this morning because Ella was awake and crying. Thankfully she went back to bed after I laid her back down and covered her up.

So when I was finally up for the day I got the babies ready for breakfast. While they were eating I vacuumed the floors. After cleaning up the twins we all three headed upstairs to go through Kaylees toys. I've been needing to do that and we ended up tossing out a bag of junk. I am glad that when Kaylee woke she didn't protest what I was doing. After that was done we headed back downstairs and I started cleaning my room. I got sidetracked after deciding to switch purses. Then I finally got back on track and got my floor vacuumed and then decided to clean the twins room. The twins room took alot of time. I sorted their toys and then put some toys away. Toys we can pull out in a few weeks and they will be like brand new to them.

Lunchtime came around too quick. And the babies didn't even really eat. It irritates me when they do that.  So I just told them fine they could go play, their not going to starve in a few hours.

I have been trying to do a photo challenge for 2014 and I have fell so far behind. I hope to catch up. It will be awesome to have a book of things from the year. While I like this challenge im doing I plan to seek out a different one for 2015. Maybe I will just fly by the seat of my pants and make my own.

Ready or not

The kids start school in 3 days. I took the oldest two for their physicals. I am glad that was quick and easy. I actually just stayed out in the waiting room with the three youngest while they went back. That seemed easiest. So that is done and marked off my mental checklist.

Kaylee had her meet the teacher this evening. She was very excited to see all her teachers from last year. But not so excited about meeting her teacher. I'm sure when school starts she will be fine and learn to love her wonderful teacher.

Now the only thing to do is have a good nights sleep on sunday and wake up bright and early on Monday morning. Oh and hopefully pick up Mikeys glasses on Saturday.

Today was just a super fast day off. I got laundry done again. Dinner cooked again. Cleaning done again. Kids taken care of again. And a million other things NOT done. Things I wanted to get done.

I am trying to make a picture for my wall. Its going to be on canvas with the kids handprints.  I really hope I can accomplish it Saturday evening or Sunday.

Another

Another eye exam and this time it was for Mikey. He said he didn't need glasses that his vision was fine but I told him he had to go anyway. And the verdict.... he needs glasses. He actually has a astigmatism.  So he got to pick out glasses which took a flat 3 seconds. The first pair he picked up, he tried on and liked. I asked him or really told him to try on some others to be sure. He did and still chose the first pair.  I suppose he already knew the look he was going for. I just hope now that they all have glasses they will be responsible of them and take care of them.

Today is Wednesday and I have still not taken the two oldest for their physicals. I will hopefully do that tomorrow. I had planned for today but I am zonked. The twins are on a really wacky sleep schedule and according to Mike they went to sleep around 5 am. I believe next week is not going to be fun since we will all be getting up very early for the school schedule. I am not looking forward to that.

Tomorrow evening I get to take Kaylee for her meet the teacher night. I think she will be excited. I hope she's not nervous and that she remembers where to go on her first day. She has always gone to school with a sibling and this will be the first year that she doesn't. I hope it will let her come out of her shell a little since she is on the shy side.

1 week

One week until school starts. I feel like its here too fast. Thursday I get to take Kaylee to meet the teacher night.  It will be exciting for sure. Even though Kaylee just told me today that school and boring and teachers are boring and on and on and on. I guess she was just having a moment. So one week and I still have to get Mikeys eye exam done, which hopefully will take place tomorrow.  And I need to take Mikey and Lexi in for physicals.  I just keep dragging my feet on that one.

I got my eyes examined today and should have my glasses in a week. I still need to schedule Mike an appointment to have his done. I also need to find a primary doctor for us and set appointments for the both of us.

Yesterday we got rain. It made for a nice day. I am ready for fall. Ready for the cooler weather. The kids are looking forward to going to fright fest at six flags. I am too because I have never been. Which reminds me I should set aside extra money for the haunted houses.

Roadtrip

We are planning a vacation for March. It will be an adventure for sure. We plan to visit 7 states! We have never taken our kids out of state, so to say we are excited doesn't cut it. I am excited because I will get to put one more state visited on my list, Florida.  At this time our rough route is through lousiana, thru Mississippi,  Alabama,  to Florida,  to Georgia,  Tennessee, Arkansas and then home. Things will seem alot less boring if we make our way thru many states, rather than drive from a to b and then from b to a. It will be new scenery the whole trip.

The rough draft at this time is to drive from Dallas to Pensacola.  But I know once I look into the road we will travel, there will be places we will want to stop. Including somewhere in there a overnight somewhere. I get nervous driving through large cities, for example when driving through dallas I freak out and get lost (my kids can vouch for that when we made a trip to the museum), when we drove through Houston one year I pulled over on the out skirts and had the hubby drive.

So drive from Dallas ro Pensacola.  While in Pensacola we will stay 2 nights so we can visit the beach and other sights. Although I think it will be too cold for the beach but we will have to see. Then from Pensacola we will drive to Georgia where I will get to visit filming locations from twd. And we want to visit Six Flags over Georgia.  That will be awesome, they seem to have some pretty awesome rides. So more than likely we will stay 2 nights in Atlanta.  Then drive thru part of Tennessee, through Arkansas and home.  It should take a week or a little over. I know I repeated my self from the top, oh well. Thats what happens when you try to blog before work and save and then dont read over what you have typed already.  Ha.

Hmm

We have had a lazy week. Monday I slept in and I'm glad I did, I was tired. I worked that night too and we were super busy. My night was a blur.
Tuesday I took the older girls to have their eyes checked. Both ended up needing glasses. I think both of them were happy about it too. I know kaylee was.
Wednesday I got up and put dinner on in the crockpot and we had a lazy day until Mike got home.  Then the girls and I were off to six flags to ride some rides and have fun.
Thursday I got up and decided to take the little kids to the splash pad. We got there and got sunscreened on and then figured out it wouldn't turn on. We were all sweaty by the time we were headed back to the hot car. Once we got home I was  trying to decide what to do. We were going to head up to the city rec center but Lexi had just took a shower and she would have had to help out so we just decided to fill up the water table and have fun. They had a blast. Lexi stayed the night at her aunt robins last night so she could babysit her cousins kids today.
Friday, I slept in this morning and it was very nice. Had a good breakfast with the twins and then we went out and played in the water again. After we came in I fixed lunch. Now im relaxing before it's time to head to work. The whole work thing is becoming annoying, ha.
Mikey came home today too. So good to see his face. I got a really big hug from him too. He said he started getting home sick last night. Im happy he is home. I worried about him and he finally called yesterday. He had been gone since monday.
Tuesday I get to register my jr high kids for school. Ready to get that done. I also plan to take Mikey on tuesday for his eye exam. He says he doesn't want glasses. I told him if he needs them he won't have a choice. We shall see.

School

School starts in 3 weeks. I really can't believe it. Makes me a little sad that we will be back at the hustle and bustle. I know Lexi is ready, she is missing her friends. Mikey is nervous since he will be at a new school and that he will be in jr high. I'm sure it's that kind of giddy excited nervousness.  Kaylee will be in her same school but all by her lonesome. It will be a big change.

Friday I took the big kids shopping for school clothes. That was fun yet expensive! I still have more to buy them. I'm pretty much done with Kaylee and about half way with the other two. I am done with supply shopping for Kaylee and have bought some things that I know Lexi and Mikey will need.

I worked all weekend. A long day yesterday and today. Yesterday was the teacher breakfast we have every year. I was happy to be in my department and not having to mess with all the craziness.  At least that day is over for another year! Speaking of another year, I celebrated my 6th year at my job, really crazy. I'm happy to have a stable and secure job. I'm thankful for having a considerate boss too. Not everyone does!

I work tomorrow and then I will have 3 days off! Yay! I have a meeting on tuesday for Mikey with athletics. So far nothing planned for Wednesday or Thursday. I think we might just stay home and be lazy. Maybe a trip to six flags in the evening, but thats still undecided.

Well I need to watch my show I put on.

Relax

Today has been a pretty lazy day. We got up and ran to the store for a few things. Came home and ended up making no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. So delicious and easy to make, maybe too easy! Then I mixed up a batch of peanut butter cookies for Grandma. She had asked for Lexi to make them, but for less mess I mixed and then she baked them.
I got my coupons cut and then decided to go ahead and cook the fajita chicken meat. We had lunch and it was yummy.
After lunch I went back to relaxing and after the twins went down for a nap I decided to take a nap myself. My nap was alright, it could have been longer.
I've had a pretty good day. The kids had a pretty good day. I'm not really wanting to go back to work tomorrow after having 4 days off but it will be alright I guess.

Summer fun

Last Friday I took the kids to chuck-e-cheese to play and waste my hard earned money. Kaylee had a good time on what she called "her friday". She was upset though in the end because she didn't have enough tickets to get something she wanted from the prize counter and ended up having to choose something less. Harley walked around half the time with his eyes covered. The little guy was plain scared. I think it was the noise and the big animatronics creepy looking animals. Ella had a blast, she loved putting the coins into the machines and pushing buttons. We had lunch while we were there.

Weve had some lazy days and productive days. I'm almost done with Kaylees school supply shopping. I got a few things for Mikey and Lexi too. I still need to take them school shopping and I guess that will happen this next friday.

Yesterday I took the kids to six flags. We had planned to stay the whole day but ended up coming home around 4. It just got really hot and the kids were tired. I could have kept going but I knew they were worn out. We did get there as they opened and we took a picnic lunch with us. The twins were really good. Im happy they listen when we go out on little trips like that. Now the grocery store is a whole different situation. They are little turkeys there.

Today ive cooked and cleaned and did a little organizing. I wish I had done more, but I have all next week to get on it when im bored.

Tomorrow I plan to go see my parents and then my sister. I havent seen anyone in quite a while. Our timing is always off. We either have stuff planned or its during the week when they work.

Ridiculous

I've been away from here for too long. No excuse other than being very busy. Summer is here and its been a fun one so far. The kids and I are getting alot of use out of our six flags season passes. We have been so many times. I finally convinced Mikey that the rollercoasters aren't all that scary and he has now rode all of them, several times. Kaylee on the other hand has been scared to ride rides. But she is coming around.  Ella is the thrill seeker and Harley is fine with 2 feet on the ground.  But he will ride and doesn't throw a fit about riding, but he will have you cover his eyes if hes scared.

We have gone to the splash pad a few times and yesterday I made it to the pool for the first time this season. It was nice but hard to keep your eyes on 5 kids. The twins aren't scared of water either. Of course none of my kids ever have been, they've all been water babies from the start.

We are planning a trip to chuck-e-cheese this coming Friday,  not my choice of fun, but Kaylee has asked to go, so, we will go. I'm sure all the kids will have a good time.

I've been trying to let the kids have a carefree summer, but towards the end of this month we will work on getting back on an early schedule. That way the first week won't be total chaos and full of tiredness.  This coming school year will be a crazy one.  Lexi made the gymnastics team and I will have to drive her to the gym every morning. She will have to be there at 7am, which means everyone will have to be ready and in the car by 6:45. Including the twins. I guess it will be good to get them on a good schedule but it is going to stink not being able to come home and go back to bed.

Oops! I did it again!

I let a whole month plus some go by without posting.

We have been busy. Ok maybe not that busy.

At any rate the past month we did do stuff. We bought my sisters car and had to get the title transfered and get insurance on it. We were sick. I had strep as well as Harley and Kaylee.  We had the other kids tested too and their rapid strep test was negative. They sent off for cultures and I never heard back. I called and gave a call back number but didn't hear anything.

Earlier this week we celebrated birthdays. Mikey turned 12 on Tuesday and I had my birthday on Wednesday.  We took the kids to itz pizza on tuesday for mikeys birthday. And then on my birthday I took the twins and myself to the zoo. Then later that evening I took the two older girls to the mall to shop around.

A Month

It's hard to believe that we are already in the second month of 2014. January was a blur. Just busy busy with normal family stuff, school and work.
I found out Saturday that my sister and her family are moving to Minnesota. This news makes me sad but like I told her I cant say anything that will make her change her mind. She is an adult and its her choice. She told me she was glad I was on board. Although I don't feel on board with it. I did tell her that Kaylee would be upset. Haiden is her best friend. She will be unable to take her car with her so she has offered it to me to buy. As of right now we will be buying it. It will be so good to have a second car. I hate not being able to go anywhere during the day. So it will be a good change for me and the twins. I'm already day dreaming about going to the park and maybe even venturing to get groceries while everyone is at school and work. We should get the car at the end of the month which will be here in a blink of an eye.
Lexi had a choir contest on Saturday and she ended up getting a title 1 which is the best. So happy for her. Yesterday she came home with a patch for her future letterman jacket that she will get in high school.
I have the day off today and plan to get some cleaning done. I am thinking about going thru boxes that are under my bed to get rid of stuff. What do I need with all the photo frames that will be quite a while before I get to use them again. It would be better to get rid of them and buy again later and buy matching ones at that. I need to do something to my room because I feel like the walls are closing in. Plus when you walk into my room it just feels cluttered. I would love for it to feel crisp and clean and not cramped.
I think I'm going to start some chicken in the crockpot for dinner.. we will have chicken and dumplings! That just sounds so delicious. This evening I have to take Kaylee to get some valentine decorations so she can decorate her valentine bag. I really should look to see what I have already though. I know I have stamps and stickers from my scrapbook collection. Speaking of scrapbooking I have ordered my photo prints for the month of January for my project life. I am so excited to get it going.

No more

Well as of yesterday I no more have babies. I have toddlers and children. It is a big milestone and one that makes me sad.
I will now look forward to anyone I know having babies. So any friends or family that want to have a baby go ahead I know it won't be long before my twins won't let me hold them. I sure will miss that.
I have to apologize for not posting here in a week. It has been a very boring and blah kind of week. It involved napping almost every morning.  I've done very little of anything.  I was off work Wednesday and Thursday and I cooked both days and did a little cleaning. But it's like I've been in a funk. Maybe I just need a vacation. I have been looking up weekend destinations... hoping we could take a small vacation. And I would love for mike and I to take a weekend trip somewhere for our upcoming anniversary in April but that is going to be hard to get someone to watch the twins. I know lexi and Mikey would be fine at home with their grandma and papa t. Kaylee could go to my sisters or my mom's. But the twins I just don't know since they are still in cribs. I know a overnight trip we could do and probably have Lexi watch them but that would be tough.
Anyway the week has passed by and I work tonight and tomorrow morning. I'm not sure about sunday. I really wish I have Sunday off but that is probably far fetched.

Happy Birthday

Ugh

This week is slowly passing by. Monday was Kaylees birthday, she had her 8 year checkup that day and she's doing fine. I cooked dinner and after dinner I was so exhasted I took a 2 hour nap. Tuesday and Wednesday were ok, just the normal getting the kids to school and taking care of the twins and cleaning. I'm so exhasted. This morning I let a monster out on kaylee. She didn't do her homework last night. I worked last night.  She refused to have her dad help her. So she went to school with no homework done. Nor did she brush her hair or teeth! I really need a do over for this morning. Thursday mornings are usually rushed because we have to drop lexi at school early for choir practice. I just wish things would go right every now and then. I wish kaylee would do her homework and the kids would wake up when asked. Maybe one day!!!

Happy Birthday Kaylee

Sunday, January 19, 2014

Blast

The party was a blast. Kaylee had so much fun and really enjoyed skating with her cousins. Haiden was a first timer and he loved it after he got locked skates. I did the hokey pokey with kaylee, my mom, my brother, lexi, Mikey, haiden, Andrea,  Anthony & Julie. That was fun and I even busted my butt! I may be sore tomorrow. My mom had so much fun and I hope one of these days she will go back with us and skate again!!! Kaylee enjoyed her cake and all her gifts. She was very happy that everyone came out to celebrate with her.

Party day

Today is Kaylees party and she has already asked me what time her party is. Yesterday was a very long day. I was so glad when it was time to leave work and come home. At work I started training a new person. I really hope she works out and will stay for awhile.
Today will be a busy day for sure. I have to get everyone ready. The babies need baths. Everyone needs breakfast. In a little bit I have to go and pick up the cake and a few things I need to get.
The party is at 2.

Shopping

Today was a busy day. I started my morning by taking the kids to school and then heading out to go shopping for Kaylees birthday. I got her some really cute clothes and I hope she likes them. We finally got back home and put stuff away. I put together Kaylees gifts and decorated her bag. Then I put together all the goodie bags. Got news that my sister and her kids won't be at the party. They have a stomach bug. Now I'm dreading the large cake I already ordered and can't change now. But I guess I will just send cake home with people. I'm ready for work to be over on Saturday so I can enjoy 2 days off with my family. Even if Monday I have to take the birthday girl to her 8 year checkup!

Enjoyment

I'm loving writing everyday. I really hope I keep it up. I know it's nice to go back and read things from years past. I have word documents that I have sat and typed up things from my yearly calendars. It is enjoyable to relive the little moments that slip so far into our minds.

Yesterday was a pretty productive day. I don't know that today will be. I am zonked! I will try to clean up the babies room as it needs it bad.

Well I got the babies room all clean and did mine too. Now just relaxing until lunch time and nap time. Hopefully the twins will quit fighting. They are driving me insane.  I gave them a cookie so maybe that will make it better.

Productive

The title says it all about my day. Here's what I've done so far today:

I got the kids to school
I had my coffee
Cleaned my bathroom while the twins were still napping
Fed the babies breakfast
Cleaned them up and changed diapers
Paper pieced some projects
Did a load of laundry
Took out trash
Downloaded some online scrapbook stuff
Took the twins outside to play
Fed the twins lunch
Got the twins cleaned up again and diapers changed again
Put the twins down for a nap
Used my food saver to freeze all the meat I bought yesterday grocery shopping
Cleaned up the kitchen
Cooked dinner early
Paper pieced projects for lexi and kaylee
Completed their projects for now(not sure if I want to modge podge theirs or not, but I'm really thinking I should so they will stay for a long time)

So yeah my day was busy... now to decide if I want to bake cookies......

Mondays

I hate mondays! I don't like that I have to get up so early to get the kids up. So I got all the kids to school and had some coffee. I decided to watch a movie. I did lay back down but I only drifted off for about 5 minutes.  Made breakfast for the twins and changed them. They played in their room. I really wanted to take them outside to play but the wind was horrible, so we stayed in. I finalized my grocery shopping list, had lunch, finished up a project, fed the twins lunch and put them down for a nap.
After Mike and the kids got home I left to do my running.  Dropped off a bag of clothes to goodwill and then made a quick stop at hobby lobby for a project I've been wanting and it was half off this week. Then we went grocery shopping. Stopping first to order Kaylees cake. Then 200+ dollars later we were on our way home to put groceries away and figure out what we were going to do about dinner. I chose for us to grab something out. I didn't feel like slaving over the stove just for everyone to scarf everything down and me be left with all the dishes and cleanup. Now it's just relax time for me until bed time and that is going to be very soon.

No intentions

I had no intentions of forgetting to write here yesterday, but I did. It happens. I was busy with the kids and then going to work. Work was work. I got home and finally went to bed around 1 am. Today I worked a long shift. I was suppose to get off work at 6:30 but didn't leave until 7:30! I was going to go grocery shopping this evening but instead I'll just go tomorrow. But that will be ok, it will give me time to clip new coupons and maybe save a little more money tomorrow.
I must get off now, I have babies to bath and an almost 8 year old to make take a shower.

This week

This week has been rough. Back to school for the kids has been rough in the mornings waking them up. I am glad today is Friday and I hope all the kids go to sleep at a decent time over the weekend.
I am going to try real hard to not go back to bed this morning or nap in the afternoon. I really didn't sleep in much during the holiday break but it's been so hard staying awake this week. Although it's been a blah kind of week with back to school and the weather. Oh and let's not forget me working 6 days straight. That will drain a person.
I've been watching the news and there has been so many flu related deaths this season. After the news of a young girl dying earlier this week I stressed to the kids how important it is for them to be washing their hands. To make sure they are washing their hands fully and staying away from any kids at school who seem they might be sick. It's really scary stuff. My nephew had the flu the week following christmas and I was really worried we would come down with it. Thankfully we did not.
Today I am going to try and make my grocery list for over the weekend and a list of stuff needed still for Kaylees party. Well its getting closer to leaving for school and I still don't hear the kids moving around. Guess I better go get them up again.

I didn't forget

I didn't forget to write yesterday, I just enjoyed my day off. I did some organizing and decluttering. I feel like my room is a huge cluttered mess. I played with the babies, fed and changed them a few times. Had them lay down for quiet time. After Mike and the kids got home we needed to go to the grocery store and party city. And while we were in that part of town we made a stop at toysrus. We do have 3 January birthdays and need to get some gifts since we haven't yet. I was able to find a gift for kaylee but I will still need to get her something else.
The past few days I have been looking for a 2nd car for us. We really need one and it will be up to me to try and find one.
After we got back from running errands I cooked a small dinner, ate and fed babies. Then it was time to get to bed. Although I didn't go to bed until midnight.  Maybe one day I will get to bed at a decent hour.

A week

A week into 2014 and it's been pretty low key. I've been party planning and trying to organize my stuff. Party planning is going well. We got the invites out and in total their should be 28 people. 14 kids and 14 adults! I'm glad I decided to have the party elsewhere. No worries about cleaning up after. But I think the challenge will be getting everyone and everything there. I'm sure we will need the stroller as Ella and Harley are too little to skate. That right there makes it a second trip. I need to make a trip to party city and hopefully I will get to do that either tomorrow or friday. I think it would be too much to do Friday before the party. I really hope Kaylees friends that she invited show up to her party. Even just one of them.
Ella and Harley have been little turkeys the past two days and I think it has to do with the kids going back to school. Yesterday nap time was a disaster. They did not go down for a nap until 3:30 even though I put the down at 1. I hope today goes more smoothly and they actually go to sleep.
I need my day off tomorrow! I'm so exhasted. I hope work this evening goes quickly.
Better close this post,  twins are fighting.

Back to school

Winter break was far too short, the kids were made to get up bright and early this morning. I did not like this one bit. I was perfectly fine in my bed. I reluctantly got up and waited until 6 to wake the kids like I always do. I don't know why I wait that 30 to 45 minutes but I feel like they shouldn't need more than an hour and can benefit from the extra little bit of extra sleep. They all woke up fairly easy. Kaylee didn't want to go saying she don't like school but I told her that she was handing out her birthday invites and that helped in getting her up.
I got the kids to school and then back home for me to go back to bed. Going on 5 and a half hours doesn't work so I got about an extra hour and I woke up before the babies. I did a little cleaning in my room, it needs more but that will have to wait until a day off.
My first day with the kids back at school went ok, but felt too short. It wasn't long before it was off to work. One more day and then I can have a day off. Very ready for that day off too.

Kids

I thought I would write about the kids tonight!

Alexis is 13 and in the 8th grade. Sometimes it is hard to believe that I have a child in junior high much less a teenager. She had a rough start to the school year. She is in mostly advanced classes and began failing pre ap algebra. Right before the third six weeks she decided she needed to move to the regular math class and she says it is really boring because she already knows all of it. I think her favorite class is choir, she really excels at it. Boy I sure do love how she is outgoing, I have always been shy. So she sure didn't get that from me. She made so many new friends so quickly going into a new school. I'm so proud of her. She's always really helpful with the twins and sometimes Kaylee.

Michael Jr.  is 11 and in the 6th grade, next school year I will have 2 Jr High kids! He is doing really well in school and hardly needs help at all. I really hope he keeps it up. He really is a ham I tell ya,  always poking fun. He loves to help out with the twins but does have a fit about doing chores. He is kind and I am amazed at how he has grown. He is really good at video games, sometimes better than me.

Kaylee is 7 and in the 2nd grade. She will be 8 in a little over 2 weeks from now. We lucked out and she has the same 2nd grade teacher that Alexis and Michael had. I was almost jumping for joy at that. She is doing good in school, I get reports all the time that she tries really hard at her school work and will actually volunteer every now and then in class. I hope she keeps excelling. She is still mommas girl and I love that. Although I feel at time I may have babied her too much. She is shy but makes friends well, so I am glad for that.

Ella is 23 months old! She is such a cutie! She loves her brothers and her sisters. She is my mimic. She loves to repeat everything, which is very cute. She loves playing with all her toys and picking on Harley.

Harley is 23 months old! He is such a hammy! He is very quiet, not very talkative at all. He is very cute though when he shakes his head yes erratically!  He loves his sisters and his brother. He tries to avoid Ella since she likes to pick on him but you can tell the two do have an awesome bond.

So far

Well I've almost made it a week blogging! Pretty good if I say so. Today was a long day and tomorrow will be longer.  I got up early and we went grocery shopping but before we even left the house we had an injury. Ella in her excitement of waking up, hit her mouth on her crib and ended up poking a hole through her bottom lip.  She was fine thankfully and had minimal bleeding. It could have been so much worse. She is my accident prone twin. But she is the feisty one too.
We got groceries and imagine I only forgot one thing. We got back home to put everything away. We ate lunch. I relaxed for a bit and then it was off to work.
