OK so I admit it I was wrong, Mikey was really sick!! My motherly instincts failed me, ha!
So OK rewind, I took the kids to school this morning and then came home, showered. Fought to get Kaylee up so she could shower and get dressed since she had her Dr's appointment. Got her ready, teeth brushed, hair combed and fed and we left. I had to stop and stand in the freezing cold at 7-eleven to get gas, well the pump said their network was down, tried 2 more times and said the same thing. I could have gone inside to pay but I didn't want to have to drag Kaylee out of the car. So back in the car, still freezing and go to Racetrac, stand in freezing cold again, got gas for the car. Just as I get back into my car my phone is ringing, fumble trying to get ahold of my phone you know my hands were numb from standing in the freezing cold, it was Mike telling me he was on his way to get Mikey from school. They must've called me when I was you got it standing in the freezing cold at the first stop. Darn! So yes the nurse called and Mikey was running 103 fever and he still had his "stummyache". I could have got him but we probably would have been late for Kaylee's Dr's appointment. I'm glad Mike was able to get him, but yeah I would have got him had I known the nurse was calling me.
So yeah he's home, doesn't act sick but Mike gave him medicine and he's eaten a few crackers but won't stay in bed and the nurse said he can't go back to school tomorrow since he has fever, he has to be 24 hour fever-free, yay, not. Which means he missed half of today, will miss all of wed and Thursday and Friday he only has to go to school till noon, remember noon dismissal because of the end of the semester and then have a 3 day weekend because of no school on Monday. You know I think I want to be a kid again!!! Oh and did I mention that I forgot my coat when I left the house this morning! I was wearing a cami covered with a velvet zipper like jacket, I was freezing!!!
Kaylee had a good appointment, the Dr said she grew 2.5 inches and gained 3lbs over the course of a year! He was happy, said she's growing great, really no need of concern. And he said its been great seeing Kaylee grow up. Wow I can't believe it she is almost 5, no more toddler, a child... Kind of sad... She may be my last baby and its sad...
